The Ray 2099
A futuristic redesign/re-imagining of DC characters set in the year 2099 (similar to Marvels 2099 imprint)
On a mission in deep space The Ray, while in his energy form, was exposed to the radiation from a distant supernova. The radiation reacted with The Ray's energy form and he found that he could no longer return to his human form. As time went on The Ray's energy levels began to rise to dangerous uncontrollable levels. On his return to Earth S.T.A.R. labs equiped him with a containment suit which would syphon off any excess energy and allow The Ray to stay in control of his powers.
